Enabling reporting accessibility
Reportl is a design and publishing platform purpose-built to enable the digitisation of corporate and sustainability reporting. By producing all report formats digital-first (i.e. from native XHTML), Reportl enables companies and their design teams to deliver multiple formats that are all accessible (PDF, online reports and digital filings).
Reportl accessibility capabilities include:
- Alt tags
- Semantic heading structure (H1-H6) is fully enabled in Reportl. This also relies on the design of the project adhering to strict heading hierarchies and structures, which is not always possible in complex reporting content.
- Fully responsive online and filing versions for all devices and browsers (text reflow WCAG 1.4.10).
- Allows zoom or enlarge text (again with text reflow).
- Accessible PDF (no need for a separate process/cost/delay).
- Table structures.
- HTML screen-readable graphics (when built within Reportl. i.e. graphics not always in an SVG/EPS which are less accessible).
- Video subtitles/closed captions (hosted using Vimeo, YouTube etc).
- Accessibility checks in the system.
We are currently working on the following accessibility functions:
- Keyboard controls (for online/filing versions).

The content of this website has been designed to be as accessible as possible, and additional features are currently being developed to further support adaptive technologies, including screen readers and text-only browsers. Once this work is complete, we will update this page.
